DesignContest Scholar is an interactive application (hereinafter, referred to as “Scholar”) that enables students and their education institution / teachers to run interactive design classes and school design contests for free using the DesignContest.com (hereinafter, referred to as ‘Website’) platform, which is owned and operated by DesignContest LLC., (hereinafter, referred to as ‘Company’ or ‘We’ or ‘Our’ or ‘Us’).

Through this page, we intend to convey our commitment to honor and uphold the online privacy of the Scholar users. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”), inter alia, informs the users of Scholar the mode through which we collect, use, protect, and, sometimes, disclose their personal and non-personal information. By using any of the features of Scholar, the users acknowledge that they have understood, agreed, and accepted the provisions of this Policy, and any amendments thereof.

  • inform the registered users about the Project(s) that match their profile,

  • enforce our Terms of Services Agreement,
  • troubleshoot,
  • resolve any other matter that involves protection of our legal and proprietary interests.

The email of the users is specifically used to communicate with the users, among other things:

  • notify the users of Scholar when a Project is posted that match their profile,
  • notify important information regarding users’ participation in the Projects posted on or through the Scholar application,
  • sending updates concerning Website’s features and functionality,
  • sending periodic newsletters. However, the users can opt not to receive unimportant messages from the Scholar by managing their account and tailor the notification settings.

Certain personally identifiable information, like Profile Details (Name, Photograph, Location, Area of Expertise, etc.), feedback and comments by other users will be publicly available on this Website.


Non-Personally Identifiable Information

While using the Scholar application on the Website, we also collect certain non-personally identifiable information from the users including, but not limited to:

  • the IP Address of the Internet Service Provider (ISP),
  • the browser used to access the Scholar,
